In 1993, debutant Ashutosh Gowariker directed a relatively unknown film called Pehla Nasha. Raveena Tandon, Pooja Bhatt, and Deepak Tijori played the leads. It also has the unique distinction of being the only film where Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan appear together.
